![]() The relative image sizes are determined by the software in order to allow all the events to fit within the chart and keep the text readable. Tried this and it works for me.Īdam, what controls the size of the image in the Media box? I need to enlarge a particular image which is pretty detailed and it needs a larger size on a projected screen to be legible. When Timeline 3D sees that space it knows that you intend to hide the date and it will draw the event accordingly. Try putting a space character in the custom date label field. However, the "custom date label" can be used to hide the date. Each event must have at least a start date so that the software knows where to place it on the chart. To create an event without a title simply leave the title field empty. A question: I want to hide the Event Title and dates in the timeline events. Always liked the product and I believe it has legs to do so much more as a presentation tool - more than a timeline. I'm glad you are excited about the new version! - Adam MikeSA - J6:36 AM It is a great product, and now I won't need to worry so much about "selling" it to fellow iPad users. ![]() I was just about to start shopping for a new timeline software (or a Macbook, as I travel a lot, and can't use my iMac version), as I also thought IOS support was abandoned. and planning to use more with some upcoming projects. It is not a software I use often, but it is one I love to use. The code is also up-to-spec with Apple's latest best practices, so it should be easier to support new OS features going forward. For example, if I improve the date parser, the movie rendering, or a 3D animation, then all three platforms should receive the upgrade simultaneously going forward. With this new iOS release, all of the Timeline 3D versions now share a common code base except for the user interfaces. The iOS version has nearly completed since that time, but the remaining bugs where difficult to fix and other projects have consumed my attention. The Mac v5 update was the first part of this major redesign to ship a couple of years ago (as Mac remains the most important platform for most of my customers). It involved a major restructuring of the document format, code structure, 3D engine, and user interface in order to unify the Mac, iPhone, and iPad versions of Timeline 3D. This new update has been a five year development effort. Mark, thanks for your kind words and for being patient with my infrequent updates. I have been thinking lately that it would be a useful tool in the (always) impending renovation of my family's genealogical website. It's as unique and dazzlingly useful as it was on the first day I came across it. does this news portend a new MacOS version is in the offing?Īll the best with T3D development. You undoubtedly have a better idea of your customer base than do I, but being an old fogey, I can't imagine being creative on a phone or even tablet. Happy to have some news, Adam - I had feared that T3D was moving into abandonware territory.
